Another ambulance just left with sirens blazing ... and another one heading into the fray

Lots of cars with flashing cherries ... flying down the highway

maybe gonna enter via Srinigarinda (sp)

And of goes another loud explosion ...

Seems a lot of rumbling

and cheering coming from Seri Village alleys and Soi's (right across from stadium) always followed by gun shots

This might be what you heard (IF IT IS TRUE....)

RT@RichardBarrow: 10pm RT @aleursic: Students urging everybody to take cover under expressway, as 2-3 grenades were launched by Red shirts a few minutes ago

That would not surprise ... it was the loudest "boom" of the night

but will cannot say who fired what ...

and yes most of the single "bangs" are gun shots ...

when they light the firecrackers you can tell the difference

This is another picture of a gentle "student" (most probably from the Bangkok middle class) expressing his concern regarding the Yingluck administration, and trying to make these evil and dirty red shirts understand what he means.
(if I believe what I read, the picture is from Ch7)
This time, no need for the army to come to help, Suthep has everything he needs whistling.gif

What does this picture show? It could be a UDD shooter. Not all of them wear their red shirts when they go shooting someone.

No need to for Yingluck to use the police to take out the anti government protestors. She has Jatuporn's followers to do it for her. Hands clean.

There's no possible way you can ascertain that this individual is a student, nor which side he is on, nor who he is shooting at. It happens that the first reports containing this image were associated with the 3 shot students, indicating that he may well be pro government, but it's unclear at this stage and is certainly best to wait until the photographer provides the backstory before making any judgement.

not necessarily an anti gov supporter. Learn about how Thais wage wars. I'm in the area and could tell it coming. Since students and student leaders are involved there will be more troubles ahead. Not easy to be stopped now. I myself witnessed it here. No students around in the area for days in the evening hours. Haven't checked it today, but it seems they're in the campus. 2 Cambodian workers were shot as bystanders. There are plenty of them around here ...

No gerry, quite wrong, that guy is from a wealthy family from Khon Kaen.

never mind he'll get his comeuppance when Arisman lets slip his dogs of war later.

Wow .. I am way behind from going out for a couple of beers with activists here in a proince close to BKK.

For the record, before the first report of violence FROM the students there was a printed complaint from the Chancellor (President/ean of RU complaining about 2 students being injured by red shirts. Yes a report AGAINST the redshirts first. This was printed in ThaiRath and I posted it in this thread before the first report of students acting badly.

The students should still have not reacted the way they did..

---------

Now I will catch up on the news.

Given that students are the only reported gunshot casualties so far, the picture of the gunman above is more likely to be of a government supporter.

The Nation has some interesting comments from the Rector of the University, amongst others:

"The rector said a number of men on motorcycles from the stadium had provoked the protesting students earlier.

There was a fistfight and one student a got minor injury, according to a reporter with the pro-Democrats' Blue Sky TV network at the scene.

Hundreds of protesters Saturday joined in an anti-red shirts rally in front of the university, after a female student was attacked by the red shirts because she wore a whistle necklace".

Three nights ago I also saw a few smaller groups of red shirts arriving at the stadium and their leaders with black shirts and black jackets. Looked more like the strategic fighters than simple protesters.

You are right. A picture can be manipulated.

The same website now added the very same picture that they already found circulating, on which someone added a caption (in yellow) saying that "the red shirts shoot".

I triggered a lot of angry comments from the readers. I can understand. I believe that the anti-government protesters will do everything they can to deny that this guy is among their protesters. A bit the same kind of speech that was done when "the reds run into the bullets" in 2010.

If it is not a "student", it could well be a Suthep's newly recruited man in black...

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story Gerry.

Police saying Ramkhamhaeng students shot by other students. One dead, two seriously wounded.

By the way, the students are not associated with Suthep's protests.

Oooooh, what I read here

The unarmed peaceful red shirts are at it again . Well we all know that they are NOT middle class, isn't it smile.png

I don't much care who he is or which side he is on, but I hope he gets caught quickly. It's a chilling and disturbing picture...

Using your words,

I believe that the government supporters will do everything they can to deny that this guy is among their own.

There comes a point when all educated, rational people need to stop pushing their own agendas. Whatever your colour scenes like this should shock and terrify everyone in Thailand. Please step back from the brink and don't let the extremists win.
