Buying a big suitcase

Anyone know where I can buy a big wheeled suitcase?

I checked out the department stores like Paragon and Emporitum but nothing big.

Am looking for a well stocked luggage shop.

Any ideas?~

Thanks

Lots of luggage shops in the mall next to the Indra Regent Hotel. Bargain hard for a good price! They can deliver the suitcase to your residence if you tell them you want that when you bargain for the price. I assume that you know about pricing in Thailand.

I brought a Polo brand suitcase next to Indra, and it fell apart after a few trips. Wifey bought a no name Thai suit case and its very very good.

I've bought various suitcases in the Indra mall over the years. Some of them have lasted well but some not. It's hard to tell which one will be good when it's new. I've found a luggage shop there whose products seem to be pretty good but, sorry, I don't remember the name of the shop.

Thanks for the tips

I did buy a suitcase at MBK. It was cheap but I'm sure it won't last more than a few months, the wheel construction is about as strong as cardboard.. but it'll do for now.

thanks

Good luggage in Thailand is vastly over priced. I replaced all of mine, when I was in US a few months back. A Samsonie and a Delsey came to around 8,000 baht.

True

I was hoping my new bag would last 1 month.

Within 1 week the wheel, zip and stitching had broken.

All my bags are victims of Bangkok's incredibly hard pavements.

I really need a good US branded bag that's authentic!

It wasn't ify, looked fine. We chose one with good wheels. But the thing just fell apart.

On the other hand, I got one from Vientiene from a copy shop there, that lasted for years.

I think my bags will survive if I don't take them on Bangkok pavements, they're fine on flat surfaces - but not made for rough treatment. More taxis perhaps.

> soi nana and such?

Every shop I've been to, Nana, MBK etc all seems to have pretty much the same bags.

I would buy an expensive one from Paragan or one of the good department stores, but they don't have the large bags I need.

Big C have an excellent range of suitcases, not as big I need but was impressed.

And of course you get excellent customer service

Any other suggestions? I have been told to look in Pratunam and MBK but to be very careful as there is a lot of rubbish on sale. Not having bought a suitcase in over 30 years, I would not have a clue what to look for. Perhaps, the only option is to buy discounted brand name case from one of the department stores.
