wayned
If you pop in and back out you will get a visa exempt entry, either 15 or 30 days depending on your nationality. If you want a 60 days tourist visa, you have to apply at an Embassy or consulate in a neighboring country. Submit your application in the morning of day 1 and pick up your visa the next day in Laos, but it takes 4 days in Cambodia. If you have a 60 day tourist visa already it can be extended at an immigration office in Thailand for 30 days (most countries), cost 1900 baht. Your post doesn't give enough info to be more specific so choose the one that applies. Edited December 22, 2013 by wayned
Metapod
wayned. he isn't talking about a thai visa. he is asking about the laos visa. i thought that was obvious. "im just going to pop in then back to thailand..." "lao transit or tourist" lol

ubonjoe
He wrote 60 day visa run which indicates he wants an additional 60 day stay. It is not clear at all what he was asking about. But to me he is asking whether he should apply for a tourist visa or transit visa at the Thai embassy. The answer to that question would be tourist visa. A transit visa is only good for 30 days.
