December 30, 201312 yr A branch of Thanachart Bank on Sathorn Road, Bangkok built its entrance behind a bus stop with only a couple of feet of space to allow entry. Apparently when it opened it put up a notice apologising for any inconvenience! TIT. See attached (the entrance on the other side of the bus stop is even smaller!). Happy New Year! December 30, 201312 yr Author That's gold! Perhaps forcing customers to use the atm? There isn't an ATM outside so doubt it - I can't get inside to find out if there is one there! PS. The bank was built after the bus stop was put up so it wasn't a case of the bus stop being built in front of the entrance! I assume the plans for the bank were drawn up without the architect visiting the site and they couldn't be bothered to change them during the building phase.
December 30, 201312 yr Ive put on a " couple of pounds" over Xmas so I doubt I could even fit through the gap......
December 30, 201312 yr Not easy for a quick getaway if anyone wanted to hold it up,,,,,,,,, It's a radically brilliant security innovation!
December 30, 201312 yr Somebody wrote on another thread on TVF "The level of engineering is mind boggling". And my answer was.......well this is Thailand, everything is done better. At least this is only a Bank entrance....in other places houses are falling down.
