Strange things you see on a walk.

While on my preambulations around the moo bahn yesterday afternoon,

I came upon a very distressing sight, a black and white bull, that had been

tethered on a vacant block of land, had trapped its self around a electricity

post at the edge of the land,he could not move at all,it was a good job that

the rope was through his nose (a bit barbaric) but he could have strangled

himself if it had of been around his neck.

I had seen the animal on previous occasions at other plots around the moo

bahn, and not looking to closely, i took it to be a cow, but now been up close

to the beast i could see it was defiantly a bull,as it had knackers the size of

a medium marrow.

Now, i had to try and free it,as it could not be left like that,so with a lot of

pushing and prodding ,i managed to get it to retrace its steps, and go around

and around the pole until it was free,it was very calm,a lot calmer than me,

but he either knew i was trying to help him,or he was a very docile bull, and

off he went to munch on the vegetation, looking about i could not see a

supply of water for him either !

So thats my first good deed of 2014.

regards and a happy new year to all.Worgeordie

PS been a black and white bull he might be a Toon supporter !

I've seen that bull tied to the end of the back gate of the moobaan before. Poor guy had no where to go but stand on the hot concrete. The g/f also noticed he had no water on a hot day. We tried to find the nice guy that is usually on duty at the back gate but he was not there and no one was on duty. We came back about an hour later with some water and a large bucket, but he had been put inside the gate where all the palm and temple trees are. Seems like an odd place to have a bull.

Kudos to you both for your concern. thumbsup.gif

If it's being mis-treated , I think I might be tempted to take it for a walk to a more caring owner !
