Expert gives children tips to win new friends

An education expert suggests children who changed schools think positively and use their strong points and smiles to win new friends.

Jitra Dussadeemetha (จิตรา ดุษฎีเมธา), chairman of the Advisory Project on Human Resources Development of Srinakharinwirot University, said students who moved to new schools might have problem adjusting to the new environment.

Ms. Jitra said children need around 3 months to adjust but if they are still unhappy or do not have friends parents and schools must help.

She suggested children think well about themselves and keep smiling and teachers arrange activities that can promote relationship among students.
