Where to obtain a double entry tourist visa (by air)?

Featured Replies

About to do my very first visa run and have been trying to keep up with news here at Thai visa forums.

I was planning to go to KL for a double entry tourist visa but reports seem to be coming in about rejections there.

Although I know people who obtained new tourist visas there just 2 months ago I'm not sure about the current status and what sort of background people have who get rejected.

I've already prepared a bank statement showing my balance, although not signed by the bank (how do people normally obtain such a signature when not in the country?)

Background:

Swedish citizen aged 37

Visas in current passport: One single entry tourist visa, with 30 days extension (obtained at local immigration office).

I don't want to go by car or bus so a flight out of Thailand is a must.

Where should I go if not to KL?

HCMC seems a good choice based on existing thread here on forums (?)

What other places do people fly to to get a double entry tourist visa?

Thanks in advance for any tips! :)

See this topic bout other members' experience with visa applications at Thai consulates in the region:

Kuala Lumpur does not look good at the moment.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

The only nearby locations doing 2 entry tourist visas are Vientiane and Savannakhet Laos.

You can fly to Udon Thani and then go to bridge in Nong Kai by van (less than an hour). Nok Air offers a fly/ride service to Vientiane via Udon.

For Savannakhet Nok Air offers fly/ride to Mukdahan via Naknon Phanom,

You can fly direct to both locations from Bangkok but you will find it more costly than the above options.
