I might travel to Vientiane this week to get either a single or double entry visa. If I arrive wed afternoon in Vientiane and get up early thu morning with all doc's to get to the thai consulate, how long does it take to get my PP back? Would it be avail friday morning or afternoon?

How much is a single or double entry? Pay in Laos or thai baht? What size photos do I need and what else? Is it just a photo copy of passport?

Normal passport photos, but smaller works better, and you apply in the morning and pick up your passport in the afternoon the next day. Dozens of threads about paperwork requirements, copy of passport, Laos Visa, and entry information, and they often want your hotel information on the application.

You will also need photos for you Lao visa on arrival. Cost is approx 1500 baht or $35. Make a copy of Lao visa/entry stamps.

Just be a consular section (not at embassy) early Thursday and submit your application. Cost is 1000 baht per entry (they only accept baht). Then pick up the next afternoon.

I once showed up with passport sized photos and my application was not accepted as they overlapped text on the form. I had to get new photos taken across the street. Make sure your photos are Visa sized; approximately 1"X 1 1/2".

How long is the Laos VOA for. Assume its 30 days?

It allows a 30 day entry.
