dutchisaan
Hi everybody, After years I started my hobby of flying rc planes again. Now I am wondering if there are more farangs that have this hobby and are interested in meeting once in a wile, to do some flying and helping each other out with ideas. DILLIGAD
There are a couple of guys in Surin flying RC planes and another couple of guys in Sisaket trying to master Copters (I'm one of them) but maybe I'll go back to planes as they are so much easier to fly! DerkMR
I know a German guy in Udon Thani that builds and flies huge RC planes... But as George stated, it would be helpful to know where you are located. Bye, Derk
Tagaa
I'll give this a bump. I fly at the unused/abandoned airfield in Loeng Nok Tha (south of Mukdahan & north of Amnat). It has a 5000 ft runway that's used primarily as a short cut to the main road (Hwy 212) by the locals. I dare say I've probably used it more in the last 2 weeks than anybody else. If anyone is in the area & wants to meet up and fly let me know. It's just not as much fun by yourself as it is flying with others.
dutchisaan
Dutchisaan, where snouts in Isaan are you located? Sent from my i-mobile IQ X using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app I am sorry for my verry late reaction, but I thought this trhead was dead. However it seems to come alive again.I live in Chaiyaphum province, about a 100 km north west of Chaiyaphum town. Issangeorge
A friend of mine flies at a field near the Kuchinarai Hospital in the South East of Kalasin Province, so three different fliers, three far flung locations. dutchisaan
Yes, the problem with Isaan is that it is so large. However I am more than willing to spend a long weekend somewhere to fly with other rc fliers. It is a good way to see some parts of the country where you normally don't come. So if we have a couple of people that think likewise, maby wecan arange something. Tagaa
Issangeorge, The "field" you mentioned in Kuchinarai...is it an RC field? Grass runway? Concrete or asphalt runway? A patch of flat dirt that will turn to mud in the rainy season? Where is it in relation to the hospital? If it's a nice place to fly, I can easily go for the day or even overnight, If this German fellow is in Kuchinarai, he can be in Loeng Nok Tha in an hour or there abouts.....at a real airport if he has an interest. Please show inform him of this thread. Here's a pic...
Issangeorge
I will let him know, the field in Kuchinarai is on the Hospital Road, past the hospital, maybe 200 metres or there about on the left, same as the hospital, I think it's behind a school. Tagaa
George, Thanks for your reply, however, I asked 5 questions and you only answered the least important one. Maybe you could have your friend put his eyes on this thread. He can reply & answer the other 4 questions that were asked.
