Need Podiatrist for Daughters cronic ingrown toenail problem

Featured Replies

We live in Phuket full time many years

14 year old daughter had cut toe nail too short, it grew and infected.

2 surgeries to partially remove the side of the nail at Bangkok phuket hospital and many antibiotics.

Now we are told the toe infected again and needs a 3rd surgery cutting the toe nail out and antibiotics.

everything we read says need a TOE podiatrist specialist and not a general surgeon.

Toe nail area is read and raw and needs attention just we don't want to spend 8000 baht again for bang phuket hospital if it will keep recuring which is common with this problem unless treated properly.

Any recommendations would be helpful and appreciated.

Thank you

If the toenail has become ingrown, a basic "wedge resection" should fix the problem. See the below brief You Tube link.

There is a lot of information about this proceedure on the internet.

Yes I have read about this online, but the surgeons in Bangkok puket hospital don't know this as we are on the 3rd one now.

Any ideas who can do this?
