Jai Dee Posted June 2, 2006 Share Posted June 2, 2006 Two caretaker senators resign Caretaker Deputy Senate Speaker Nipon Wisityutthasart and caretaker Angthong senator Somkiat Sornlum Friday submitted their resignation from the chamber. Jai Dee Posted June 3, 2006 Author Share Posted June 3, 2006 Two interim senators reportedly resigned to contest the general election Nipon Wisityuthasart (นิพนธ์ วิสิษฐยุทธศาสตร์) and Somkiat Soralum (สมเกียรติ ศรลัมพ์) resigned as interim senators yesterday reportedly to contest the general election. Mr. Nipon, who represented Ang Thong, said he wanted to take care of his business. Reports said, however, that he would join the Democrat Party. Mr. Somkiat, elected in Nakhon Sawan, reportedly would join the Chart Thai Party. The general election was tentatively set on October 15.
