ubonjoe
Trat is is on the Cambodia border. I think perhaps you mean Trang. There is also a relatively new crossing in Kanchaburi that is closer than Mai Sot in Trang. This for the "Ban Phu Nam Ron. GPS Coordinates are N 13.92140 E 99.06219" from another topic abut the Kanchaburi crossing.
Tayida
Ubonjoe my problems are the stamp for the passaport. At Tak they fill ok for the remaining space wait for the new one.
ubonjoe
Sorry I got Tak mixed with Trang. The Myanmar entry is 500 baht or a new $10 bill at Mae Sot. They should try to fit your stamps on an empty space you have. You can also avoid the big visa sticker for Cambodia by getting a e-visa. See: http://evisa.mfaic.gov.kh You would have to cross a Hat Lek (Trat) or Poi Pet to use it though.
Tayida
So Kanchaburi is Cambodia border and not Myanmar, right?
ubonjoe
So Kanchaburi is Cambodia border and not Myanmar, right? It is Myanmar. But the cost at that crossing is 900 baht because there is a 400 baht service fee to take you or your passport across no mans land to the Myanmar side. Thanyaburi Mac
Believe TRAT would be a lot closer to Pattaya than TAK. The border crossing point for Trat Provinces is in Klong Yai District, crossing to Koh Kong in CAMBODIA. Lots of hotels and guest houses in TRAT town, several in Klong Yai town, closer to the border point. Out of Pattaya, take HWY 36 on down to where it joins Hwy 3 near Rayong, then on to Chanthaburi, Trat town, and down the coast to Klong Yai.
