Eliot Rosewater
There is a great local scene happening in Bkk; a bit hidden from the mainstream which adds to its charm. Indie, punk, shoegaze, psychedelic, experiemental etc. all original bands who want nothing more than to rock out and have fun with a great crowd. In the vein you just mentioned; Sangsom Massacre just played at Hemmingway's the other night with Degaruda; both excellent bands.\ Lots of bands play at Fatty's bar and diner on any given Friday or Saturday night, usually no cover charge; check their facebook page. Good show there coming up on April 4th; 4 bands. Harmonica, Det 5, Overstay and many other places host great independent original bands. Good luck and support your local scene!!!

Lots of great stuff coming up in the local scene. If you're into punk with a stab of metal, there's this show happening this Saturday at the infamous Immortal Bar: https://www.facebook.com/events/1425072387737154/ A couple of up and coming farang bands are playing: Demon Sugar (totally kick-ass stoner metal with a mix of 80's metal, but all instrumental!), and Deadtown Trash (garage punk with a twist). Local emo-math band (and recently crowned winners of Hard Rock Rising 2014) Ugoslabier is headlining. Also that night is Saturday Night Live at Hemmingways, this week featuring local indie favorites Basement Tape, and up and coming brit poppers Triggs and the Longest Day. Take your pick!
