Tread carefully my friend.

While I'm sure the cause is noble, the consequences and outcomes maybe less then desirable.

.

Shut up. Of course it's a noble cause. Don't engender fear in someone wanting to do something about it.

Are you worried about something being reported? If not encourage him.

Go on...encourage him, don't dissuade him.

what age.

Boy or girl.

Did you hear about it , or witnessed

are you involved with either parties .

we can find a Boeing777 with what you gave us here

None of your questions are relevant....unless you are trying to discern if it involves you.

Help the OP if you can.

Local police station I imagine would be a good start.

police dont seem to give a toss about domestic issues here

worth a try i supose but theyde rather be shaking down motorists for 500thb a time

than making real investigations about abused or neglected children that would never

be prosocuted in a court anyway ........especially if its a family member/parent is the

accused

report anonymously if possible ?

I presume...he means for the person being reported....while obviously all for it myself....if you get it wrong and all is innocent...the party being accused could have his life turned upside down for all the wrong reasons.

Reporting it depends entirely on the information/evidence at hand.

With the nil info provided by the OP....impossible to make any informed judgement on it.

If solid evidence...then by all means lynch the ludite.

Empowerment and the Pavena foundation are excellent ways to get the authorities to act. They would be my choice.

There is also the department of social services.

If there is enough evidence the authorities can act very quickly.

The person claims he was told by a moderator of another forum that the person (supposedly based in Thailand) posted child pornography on their website. It's a global site and of no relation to Thailand.

That is still against Thai law and also against the law of several other countries.

depending on that persons nationality, basically if western, he can also have a serious problem in his home country, not to mention the country where the website is hosted.

Information on child pornography is shared between many countries and people are getting arrested through international cooperation all the time. many countries have police sections and NGO's that deal with internet child pornography. They will also inform Thai authorities, that will seize his computer and make an arrest or send him to his home country for further prosecution.

If you know his nationality or the country the website is based it is easy to direct you to the competent authorities.

Maybe try the Paveena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women.

Yes - they do take action, and work with those police units that actually do something about it.

Empower is more for those in the sex industry, haven't heard of them broadening their mandate much, and more for ongoing education than legal interventions.

Best bet actually IMO is the embassy of the suspect, US/Brit/Aus/NZ all have law enforcement task force personnel here specifically tasked for that issue, as well as drugs - separate teams.

Probably one of the most lawless countries in SEA, but given face & religion...still safe for foreigners. A country whom blindly sells everything but only when caught like every other country condones it. But the reply...hmmmmm...Let me see...child sex, slavery, pornography...America, UK & everywhere in Europe. Asia varies as it's a bit more strict.

Noble yes, but in today's world, try not only getting off your high horse, but walking amongst the real people of the world.
