PATTAYA:--About 1,000 police officers and volunteers will slog through Pattaya April 19 to provide security for the city’s Songkran finale.

Beach Road from the Dolphin Roundabout to Walking Street and up to the intersection of South and Second Roads will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the water fight known as “Wan Lai.” Water supplies will be available at nine locations along the soggy strip.

The main attraction will be at the Beach and Central roads intersection where there will be a fountain curtain installed for tourists to enjoy the beauty and capture images for memories.
