Teen dies in freak foam accident at Songkran swamp party

Featured Replies

It blows my mind they can still be so ignorant in this day & age.

the facts regarding physics are not exactly new.

One can only hope that the most selfish/ignorant/stupid get what they deserve before they reproduce 30 more kids they cant afford to feed/educate.

RIP to the victim, and condolences to the family, but this is what happens when you mix stupidity and ignorance.

Correct, and electricity always takes the path of least resistance. In this case it was 2,stupidy and ignorance take your choice.

Seems to me its fine opportunity for many here to feel superior

Not really, when you have lived here for a while and see and read what happens everyday then you become immune to it.Ever heard of banging your head against a brick wall!!!!!!!!!!!

i am sure Tat will seize on this as a new promotion 'foam party in swamp with really electric atmosphere',that sure lure in some tourists.

What kind of headline is THAT? There was no "Foam" accident and certainly there is nothing "freak"

about someone dying from electrocution. What this "seems" to be is total lack of safety concerns that

led to a human being being electrocuted (to death) because of a total lack of a sense of responsibility

on the part of the organizers, who should (but probably won't) be held responsible. A teen is dead and

there was nothing "freak" about it.

Electricity and water do mix (in a sense) there are hundreds of thousand electric driven submersible pumps throughout the world - properly installed without any major problems - but that's the "catch phrase" properly installed.

The incident in Phitchit was more than likely a very poor (faulty) installation without any consideration of safety what-so-ever.

I was enjoying the festivities at Thapae Gate in Chiang Mai until I realized I was standing on a dodgy power cable in ankle deep water.
