Searat7
April Mobilite provides health insurance to expats in Thailand at competitive rates. Premiums are charged in dollars and reimbursements are also in dollars but they claim the only method for reimbursement is wire transfer and the bank(s) they use charge exorbitant fees...11% on a $563 claim. Bangkok Bank's fee to receive this deposit in my FX dollar account was a very reasonable $6.15. Has anyone else had a similar experience with April ? canopus1969
That's about right - it costs me GBP25 to transfer via a bank. The one you should be complaining about is the BKK Bank charging $6.15 (not in THB ?) - should be zero just to receive money
