M 79 grenade attack on Chaengwattana seriously injures a protester

BANGKOK: -- An anti-government protester was seriously injured when shrapnel from a M 79 grenade explosion struck his right chest and legs.

Atithep On-chan was rushed to nearby Mongkutwattana hospital and immediately sent to surgery room to save his life.

After the surgery, hospital director Mag-Gen Rienthong Nanna said he was out of danger but has to stay in ICU ward for close monitoring.

It was not known where the grenade was fired from but the Chaengwattana anti-government protest came under constant attacks with M 79 grenades since it was seized by protesters led by Luang Poo Buddha-issara.

The site was earlier described as a significant strategic location because it could prevent redshirt supporters to lay siege to the Constitutional Court which is to have a ruling on the premiership status of the caretaker prime minister next week.

Redshirt supporters earlier threatened to pressure the court by blocking all the entrances to prevent judges to work but the occupation of anti-government protesters has obstructed their attempt.

Damn, when are the anti-Govt protestors going to stop firing grenades at themselves . . . ????

Damn, when are the anti-Govt protestors going to stop firing grenades at themselves . . . ????

Well, at least the CAPO has stated

"The People's Democratic Reform Committee's (PDRC) activities planned for May 5, 14 and 15 are not expected to lead to turmoil or violence, according to the Center for Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO)."

Damn, when are the anti-Govt protestors going to stop firing grenades at themselves . . . ????

The day Yingluck condemn the bombings.

Interesting ... so if CAPO are saying PDRC are non-violent, who on earth could be firing all these grenades I wonder?

The day Yingluck condemn the bombings.

I doubt that, plus the reds will say it was a fake Yingluck.

just proves the joke that this Government and its puppet master have made Thailand become. No one will ever agree with Yingluck the Emperor IS wearing his finest suit!!

Old tactic delivered,

scaring new supporters from coming out for the next big rally dates.

CAPO believes peace will be restored soon

This from yesterday, CAPO wrong again. This either means that the monk beaters are out of control, or Chalerm was playing possum.

Red Shirts trying to stop court judges going to work........and not a cop in sight to assist.....??....Obviously, they're red shirt cops..!!

Thankfully, the PDRC were there to stop the RS scum.......

If you are at a gathering, and see the police depart the area, be prepared to find adequate shelter.

A significant strategic location? Lay siege? A part of this story seems to give the impression Thailand is already in a civil war...w00t.gif

Mrs Yim is having pressure put on her to join Sutheps "final" protest. She is in two minds, but I am sure when expenses are offered she will join.

Expenses offered ? What, you are going to pay for Mrs. Yim to go ?
