Galong
Details are as follows:yada, yada, yada... Work Permit not required. Cheers Steve So, is Steve going to pay your fine when you get caught working without a work permit? This is a load of crap. The authorities can round up anyone who is WORKING without a work permit if they so choose. Stevie Boy "will not be taking e mails or messages on this forum" Hmmm, sounds like something worth risking being put in jail for or deported for to me. Too bad we can't ask Stevie Boy how much of the profits will go towards those who actually are still suffering from the disaster. Man, the world is sure full of folks who appear to put $$ ahead of morals and ethics.

Why don't you try phoning the number and asking why you don't need a permit. Maybe special dispensation has been granted. Find out the facts then get a life, this could be one of those serious threads others are so happy to gaggle on about........ redrus * agreed Brit. steverino
Stevie boy here folks.... Just to put your small minds to rest (except those who were civil in their commentry) the Thai Government Film dept. which decides who may come and shoot in Thailand and clear locations with local Tessabahns have an agreement with foreign film companies that extras don't need a work permit as long as the company pays any tax that an extra might have to pay if he did have a work permit. This is about the only occupation I know of in Thailand where the work permit rule is waived. As for the movie, it's a Documentary about the Tsunami where some of the scenes need to be recreated, the one on Monday being the hospital scene. I don't think there's any bad taste involved and certainly no-one is trying to extort money from anyone else, be they victims or relatives of those who were affected. As for you Galong, get a life mate!
