CAPO warns state enterprises of repercussions ahead of planned strike

CAPO may be taken more seriously if Jatuporn is arrested for violating bail conditions, and Amsterdam had been rounded up for being on a red stage. Chalerm, Surapong and Co, must be feeling very insignificant by now....no one is listening to anything they say.tongue.png

Nothing,..because PT would still not step down because Thaksin is determined to bring Thailand to it's knees if he does not get what he wants.

just sack them, plenty of decent hard working people willing to take their jobs.

You're on a roll;

Today you want to sack all state enterprise workers for exercising their democratic right to protest. So that's one democratic principle down the drain.

You wanted to sack all civil servants yesterday because they have a different belief than the PTP. That is another democratic principle down the drain.

The other day you wanted to sack all the NACC and CC judges because you did not agree with their rulings. That is another democratic principle down the drain.

So you will disrespect 14 democratic principles to push for 1 (elections)

Suthep is disrespecting 1 to push for 14.

That makes him more democratic than you Moonao unless of course you think elections are the only principle of democracy?

The below have disagreed with the PTP as well. Can we line them all up and sack them as well and replace them with PTP friendly people?

The Thai beauty patent judges, the World bank, Moody's, UNHCR, Human Rights Watch, the Environmentalists, the corn farmer, rubber farmers, rice farmers, medical association, rural teachers, academics, Supa, global economists, IMF, private banks, GSB, the EC, AoT, the courts, military, bangkok middle class, business owner, state enterprise staff, Buddhist monks, civil servants, labor unions, Green Politics group, Thai Constitution Protection Association, The Thai press, NIDA poll, Bangkok Poll.

What a load of <deleted> you spout.

And your inability to rebut it speaks volumes.

Thank for highlighting that the UDD and PTP attract inarticulate supporters.

Is this good for me.I have made plans to bite the bullit. Now I see great turmoil in Thailand, can I come safely?

It's quite simple.

Let them strike and piss off even more people. They will all know it's down to Suthep yet again!

It is not the brightest move. The country, more than likely, will have negative growth for the second consecutive quarter of this year without these shennanigans. There is a good chance that this strike might cause the recession to last into the third quarter of the year and they will carry the can for it. State enterprises are almost always inefficient and over-manned. The state enterprise workers would do well to remember that revenge is a dish best served cold. It could well be payback time when the dust eventually settles.

Well the girls and the politicians have no problem getting down on their knees if the price is right.

If I was contemplating coming over, and had choices, I would not come for a while. BUT it depends where you intend to visit, but if civil war happened to break out it could affect anywhere, and your air ticket / flight could be affected.

If your in Europe get yourself to Grand Canaria for a holiday.thumbsup.gif

Welcome to the fold, if you are still in the UK stay put for a while and be patient, and read TVF. It will show you all you want to know. Enjoy your summer there, come over when the dust settles a bit. A bonus the Pound is getting strongerthumbsup.gif

What makes you think the rest of the world would act? If rhey won maybe their unelected gov would work for a short time and if they showed the world they were really trying to reform the Gov and were sincere to hold elections then the world would kick back and wait and see. How many times has the world intervened before? This is the coup capitol if the world.

Why on earth would you expect anybody on here to go to the effort of 'telling you any different' with an attitude like that. If you cannot be bothered to research, or check other threads or other forums to gauge what is representative of a country you are planning to live in then why should anyone who doesn't even know you be bothered to assist. If the comments on this thread give you second thoughts then you never knew anything about the country before and know nothing about it now, so why are you planning to live here? Just sayin, that is the way it is.

Donkey's years, The best piece of advice is if you intend coming over to live --sample a month for starters, if you decide Buy a condo saves money in the long term, your name. otherwise rent everything and never buy anything in a Thai name, play safe all the time. For starters get in an area where there are safety in numbers. Spend wisely and NEVER LEND.

I have give you some basics, Visa is a problem depending on you length of stay---condo buy--rent ladies --no girl friends for starters. Go to an area that suits you lifestyle. LOOK THESE UP.

Does anybody really think that suddenly all the hate and violence will just stop and a new reformed government will bring peace and prosperity to Thailand. Its the country's physche that has to change. Too much feudalism, corruption, greed, consumption, class system , chauvenism etc etc not a pretty picture- in fact a pretty ugly one and the fact is to address these sort of major problems you need a lot if very unbiased, highly motivated, self sacrificing men and women to lead Thailand out of this mess and so far I haven't seen any evidence of these people existing.

Two can play this game. If the fascist PDRC manages to force out the elected government and install a dictator, I'd be surprised if the UDD don't have a few civil disobedience tricks in their kitbags - and they'd have the support of the wider world, much of which also believes in democracy.

Lol...... None of them work. So how can they strike??

They going to refuse to protest?... It's the only work they have.

As for support from the wider world?

Do you really think that people all over the world are chanting

'Thaksin, Thaksin We Want Thaksin'

'Thaksin, Thaksin We Want Thaksin'

'Thaksin, Thaksin We Want Thaksin'

'Thaksin, Thaksin We Want Thaksin'

'Thaksin, Thaksin We Want Thaksin'

Wake up, you are deluded.

Or perhaps, heavens forbid you got it wrong and that these people do not consider bought votes, nepotism on a scale never seen in the last 100 years, corruption and robbing of the national treasury as 'democracy' !

Even the reds don't like Thaksin, he just gives them money and they are too poor and ill-educated to look at the alternatives. His henchmen get most money and they use power as 'head of villiage' to browbeat the rest.

This country , this once lovely country is on the verge of being totally trashed by one families obsession with power. Shinclan make the Borgias look like the Waltons. So who do you think just might be wrong with their assessment of the situation, you that thinks these people are striking against democracy, or the people who are choosing to strike (and in so doing giving up their salaries) for democracy? I know where I put my money.

Thaksin and Suthep are both a nightmare, but of the two Thaksin and his clan are in a different league altogether. Thaksin once again being in the premier league so to speak.

I see where you're coming from.

And we seem to see eye to eye in that neither man is a great solution.

But I have to take rickety and wobbling democracy over a man that will allow women and children to bleed in the street for him for no practical reason at all. When I look ou tthere I see Suthep and Co making backroom deals that have made all of the difference in this mess. And I see in the background a clan of old ladies in yellow shirts and silly hats that think they've helped, but actually haven't accomplished anything in the streets. This man is marching around with his bufferzone of whistle-blowing revolutionaries. This man is making grand statements and proclaimations of the rally to end all rallies, and all for what? he has not plan. His entire motive is to dismantle the democracy and have himself named unelected leader.

I'm sorry. But no. That is not a revolutionary. That's just more of the same.

Democracy may not work well here, but it is the only tool that peopel have to affect change. Destroying parks, smothering businesses and leaving the city wreaking of piss is not a better option, in my humble opinion.

This isn't Thailand, brother.

This is an internet chat board. You're not likely to learn much about Thailand kicking around in here. heh.

If you're worrried about being in control of things, maybe expat life aint for you. If you want a little spice in your life, come on over. But this forum's not going to do you a lot of good on that front. This is a place for expats to make largely pointless arguments about Thai political issues that we can't really influence. Bit of a release valve for a lot of us, I think. You'll see ;)
