Still mostly in denial about the doctrine of political neutrality in the civil service I see! But what other country combines open partisanship with the expectation of a job until retirement? I sense that there are not many 'educated' TVF regulars who actually had a tertiary education that covered any political science.

CAPO is one of the only organisations still upholding the law in Thailand. Unfortunately there are few police and military prepared to enforce that law.

This means that these PDRC civil servants (along with their fascist idol Suthep) will get away with undermining democracy.

These people clearly need a lesson in democracy, but in my experience they have closed minds, impervious to ideas from the modern outside world. Although several surrounding countries understand and support democracy - e.g. India, Philippines, Indonesia - the Thai middle class persists in believing that Thailand is "different" and cannot follow the rest of the world. And one has to agree: different. That is, suffering the curse of the ammart, which says that the "great and the good" shall rule over the lower orders for evermore.

Name me one of them that hasn't been charged with an offence?

Another contender for the "Joke of the year" competition.

People, please leave anteater alone.

It is obvious that he has mental issues and targeting such a simpleton is too easy (like shooting fish in a barrel). biggrin.png

It is so tone-deaf to reality, he must just be having a laugh.

It's about time they caught this third hand and shot it. Frigging menace to society.

There's always a 'third hand'. I doubt one even exists. It's just another way of both sides to deflect blame. "we didn't do it, it was the third hand"bah.gif

It would seem not only civil servants might be charged.

"BANGKOK: -- Centre of Administration for Peace and Order (CAPO) has summoned acting Senate Speaker Surachai Liengboonlertchai to answer a complaint and suspected evidence that he supports rally leader Suthep Thaugsuban, who is facing a charge of insurrection.

CAPO’s Tarith Pengdit said he already signed the summons against Surachai, based on the suspicion that he attempted to have an unelected premier according to the constitution’s Article 7.

The summons ordered Surachai to report to on Wednesday at 2pm.

Suthep, who is leading the anti-government rally, has called for the country to undergo political reform before an election under a neutral premier, who would administer the country. The government, who has Niwutthamrong Boonsongpaisan as the acting caretaker premier, insists that an election be held prior to the reforms.

The caretaker government and the pro-government red shirts, have criticised Surachai for taking sides with Suthep.

Good. Charge them. Some people believe that they can continue to be paid as public servants when all they do is collect information to feed Suthep and the thugs. The use of the information, including private material, was confirmed by Chumpol in an interview in The Nation ( February 11 2014). Such people should be dismissed and prosecuted. If they don't like the govt, they have choices: resign, vote it out of office.

Basically, they are civil servants, not PDRC servants, or Suthep servants or yellow shirt servants.

If they want to work for another boss, they should resign or be sacked from their current job.

A good troll post

I don't see why I should be held accountable for some insecure, intolerant and immature responses by yellow shirt supporters when they read something they don't agree with.

They need to grow up and respond like adults, online and on the streets. no wonder their supporters are deserting them in droves when the yellow hardcores behave like spoilt brats, who wants to be associated with that.

I see that Rubi.

Tarit has signed a summons?

Tarit and Chalerm somehow seem to think they are above even the only legally constituted part of a government this country has.

Under the chief trolls interpretation they are only civil servants and should be showing no political bias in their work.

They don't seem to realize that by attempting to derail the work of the Senate they are only harming the country.

But what has the good of the country got to do with it ?

No, you're not a troll Moonao but you do tend to post misinformation ('fake monk').

Civil servants are also not Thaksin's, PTP's, CAPO's or red shirt employees either to be sacked because of their viewpoint. Nor should they be transferred to allow some acolyte or family member obtain a supposedly independent position.

In the current political vacuum they are quite entitled to express their views and all CAPO does is intimidate them and display double standards about Farangs appearing on protest stages. CAPO are not the caretaker government even though they seem to think so too often and they have never made any attempt at the 'P' in their name which stands for peace.
