Strangebrew
In the US during our early days we had a great way to solve issues Two people would stand back to back take ten paces turn and fire winner was the one still alive.
AGareth2
A coup is when a leader is overthrown by another person or the Army. Hmmmm... is it a coup d'etat then? It sounds better than just a coup. LOLAs you probably know, 'coup' is short form of 'coup d'etat'Africans had an ancient tradition of 'gaining coup.' Two competing tribes would line up across from one another, about 15 meters apart, in a field. Everyone had fighting sticks. One or a few members of one side would run over and see if they could strike (coup) one or more members of the other side, and not get hit back too badly. Just as quickly, the attackers would run back to their own line. The side which got hit the most, would depart as losers. Another African tradition, involving men and women: Two tribes would stand off facing each other. They would take turns singing. The side which sung loudest and most intricate would win. Perhaps Thai politicians could learn a better way to deal with their problems, from olde timer Africans.
AGareth2
i think post 20 should reference north American plains indians rather than Africans

And where was that method adopted from? British Law is where. Most of Thai law is based upon British Law, and that is a reasonable basis to build on. However, as many have pointed out, it is useless to have doctrines which are not employed with honour, and followed legally themselves. Massive changes are needed to those at the top, and their intent not to embark on a political career that is purely for financial gain on a personal level. It is the corruption, or self-intended moves which warrant huge financial gain that need to be addressed first, before even considering choosing any person to step up as a fine and clean, honourable leader. EnzoRippo
Please stop to consider Thai men as children. There is no difference between people in the world, just the ecosystems are different. A feudal system will never make you an adult because you are always the vassal of someone, you depend on the guy above you. Just make all human beings equal in Thailand and it will work. boomerangutang
This non-coup is like the end of Wizard of Oz movie: "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!" 'In other words, think as we tell you to think. Don't be so uppity as to think for yourself. We are your elders, what we say is the way it is. Period.' <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script> A coup is a coup is a coup. No way about it this is just another coup. You do realise you are breaching the martial law act? This is classed as social media and it is forbidden to criticize the military and disseminate false information to the public that may cause a negative impact on peace and order..... You have repeated this same crap on almost every thread for 2 days now. You do realise the army met with the internet service providers yesterday who can trace your IP instantly by the HTTP signature in the links of your posts? There is NOTHING thaivisa can do to block this from happening, and I doubt thaivisa will be too happy if this forum gets blocked by the ISPs. Because it could be forever. Take a deep breath and do some knee bends. Calling a coup a coup is no worse than passing a slow car on the inside lane of a highway.

Lack of knowledge shows ignorance on your partSent from my GT-S5310 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app deleted. Definition of a coup: " a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government." The only thing similar with this Martial Law was " sudden ", so hard to call it a coup. I hope you " deleted " meant you were trying to delete your original post. I "liked" his deletion
