PATTAYA:--Twenty Nine suspected gamblers were caught at a South Pattaya Hotel late on Tuesday Night by Pattaya Police.

During the curfew, Police have been told to look out for gambling dens which provide individuals with an alternative to spending the curfew hours at home, despite the fact that Gambling is illegal here in Thailand.

On this occasion, Pattaya Police received a complaint of excessive noise coming from a Hotel Room and it was suspected that gambling was taking place. Officers were obligated to act on the information and made their way to a second floor room at the C.K. Pattaya Hotel in the Pratamnuk Hill area and detained 29 men and women who were caught playing cards and “Hi-Low”. Money was being won and lost by the players which is against the law.
