Travel Mate

Featured Replies

Hello,

i am a newmember over here, i found this fourm is really amazing!

i have just notesd that there isn't anyplace to post topics seeking travel mates as i am travling to Thai on this thursday...

i just wanna ask, where is the best place to post such a thing ?

Thanks

Though this forum has freat info on Thailand, I don't think its going to be the best place for you to find travel mates as many of the people here are expats or long term visitors and don't travel around a great deal.

Best bet would be to tell us where you are travelling to and someone will put it in the right section for you.

Better still if your backpacking around or what not try this forum for finding travel mates.

May be you have to cast your net in khao san road to look for a traveling mates.

Always post in the Travel Section, be the appropriate spot IMHO. :o

This forum is also good for backpackers, just a shame it's probably the most troll-ridden forum I've ever come across...

I have seen alot worse :D

Actually there are some sites for trolls only :o

Yeah, Looney Planet is a fun forum. Thailand branch is here:

Though.. I'd be the first to reply that you shouldn't bother with finding a travel mate beforeand.. You'll meet tons of people 'on the ground', meaning a bigger selection. And travelling by yourself gives you the greatest freedom. Just 'mingle' a bit and if you do end up travelling for any length of time with one person, great, but not a requirement IMHO.

Cheers,

Chanchao
