smccolley
Banning anyone who has had an epileptic seizure is a bit harsh. I have had epilepsy for years and never drive for work, but I can tell if I am in a good state to drive or not, and then chose to drive. Even in the US my neurologist did not pull my license after a grand mal, she knew I might never get it back. Instead she asked me not to drive until she felt I was ready. It took 18 months of not driving before I was allowed to. Since then I monitor my condition closely and have a good idea when I might be susceptible and refrain. Note I have never had a seizure while driving in thailand and only have around 1 a year now, as opposed to 1 a day 15 years ago. There would need to be some sort of serious clinical analysis of each individual case, a blanket ban on anyone who ever had a seizure would be pretty bad...
