Rimmer
Bidding begins on Pattaya Beach sand-refill project PATTAYA:--Bidding is underway to choose a contractor that will begin the eight-month process of rebuilding Pattaya Beach’s eroding shoreline. At city hall’s monthly press conference June 13, city council members Athiwit Wattanasartsathorn and Banjong Banthoonprayuk said Pattaya has transferred 400 million baht to the Marine Department to begin the sand-refill project starting from the Dusit Curve. Once a contractor is selected and begins work, the project is expected to take six to eight months. The beach-refill project is already behind schedule. In April, Marine Department director Raewat Potriang said the project was supposed to begin in May. - See more at: http://www.pattayamail.com/localnews/bidding-begins-on-pattaya-beach-sand-refill-project-38930#sthash.uEWIETHj.dpuf -- Pattaya Mail 2014-06-
Jeremy50
Pattaya is really a rancid dump, even so I wish that people could just leave nature alone. Presumably thousands of trips by trucks belching black smoke will be needed for this dubious 'project'. All just to line a few pockets as usual.
slygeeza
nice long term contract for someone, until they spend some money on drainage the beach will be washed out to sea every rainy season also why dont they clean up whats all ready there, at low tide theres rubbish everywhere including plenty of broken glass for swimmers to cut their feet on, wouldnt be a big job to keep it clean
