Military Orders Control of Motorcycle Services in Pattaya

PATTAYA – June 30, 2014, [PDN]: At 13:00 at Muang Pattaya school 8, Maj.Gen.Opat Uttaranakorn, vice commander of 14th military circle- had chaired the opening conference of controlling motorcycle taxi riders. The conference was joined by District Chief of Banglamung, Vice Prime Minister of Pattaya, and the Transportation Officer of Pattaya and more than 300 of motorcycle taxi riders attended the meeting.

The conference of controlling motorcycle taxi riders in Pattaya is the major policy of NCPO to reduce affliction of people. The meeting agenda is conformed to the public transportation problems in Pattaya especially the problems of motorcycle taxis that have rapidly increased like mushrooms. There were some problems such as unfair fares, inefficient service which has eventually called for the cooperation between the 14th military circle and the sheriff and local authorities to solve and control these problems.

Initially, they had planned 3 major road Maps which were 1.to control the operators to not be involved with the mafia or official officers to earn illegal benefit2.to determine and upgrade the strict rules 3.to make sustainable business for success. In addition they will clamp down on the mafia because they had collected bribes from the operators who then charged a high fair to recoup the bribe.

I think the NCPO is doing a great job. Hardly a day goes by without them sorting out one bunch of crooks or another.

Are estate agents and property developers on their list, I wonder? They should be.

Please please please put the jet ski mafia next on the list to be straightened out.

Never thought I would living under a military dictatorship, but so far so good.

He seems to have a list of the 1000 things that are wrong with Thailand, and

he is fixing them one by one.....
