Thailand and Jordan on the road to cultural exchange

Thailand and Jordan have signed an agreement on cultural exchanges.

Surakiart Sathirathai (สุรเกียรติ์ เสถียรไทย), caretaker deputy prime minister and culture minister, said the two countries agreed to exchange visits of high-and-middle-level cultural affairs executives, cultural experts and artists.

Mr. Surakiart said that on an annual basis, a Thai cultural fair will be organized in Jordan and a Jordanian cultural fair will be held in Thailand, starting in 2007.

Next year, the Culture Ministry will show Thai classical dances, Thai films, OTOP products, Thai food and Thai traditional massages and boxing in Jordan while that country will bring its dance troupe and handicrafts for display in Bangkok, he said.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Perhaps this will help the government understand the concerns of the Muslims in the south of Thailand?

Does seem a bit of a strange one this. The Thai government doesn't exactly have a spotless record recently of relations with Muslim communities...!!!
