August 17, 201411 yr 26.5 million tourists traveled to Thailand last year sure they did... and this year there will will be 99,999,999 mostly from china
August 17, 201411 yr Big bulls..... They really count all the people, who land on the airport, even they are only on transit. <deleted>.
August 17, 201411 yr One question for Thailand...IF you removed all Mafia people at all Thai tourist areas do you realize Thailand could be number one every year? Use a western brain when it comes to corruption. Don't let a few criminal people destroy your country. I offer my experience and expertise free of charge to expose the culprits. August 17, 201411 yr If it really is true, and let's assume this for a second, then surely Thailand should do its out most to keep the numbers high. The income from tourism seems significant. Accounts for 12% of gdp. Edited August 17, 201411 yr by StefanBBK
August 17, 201411 yr THE TEMPLES AND OTHER PILES OF ROCK TOPPED WITH THE SWEAT OF 40 MILLION THAIS AND A TON OF GOLD ? NAW ! IT'S NOY, PAN, AND SWEETIE AT THE CLOTHESOFFGOGO ! Course none of this amounts to a hill of beans as the un uses figures supplied by tat - a paragon of truth !
August 17, 201411 yr How many times do they need to run this story to convince the general public. they only need to convince travel agents and holiday makers that don't do any research
August 17, 201411 yr If Thai tourism was not struggling then they wouldnt need to keep pushing this propaganda....
August 17, 201411 yr feel free to continue bashing Thailand. I agree the numbers are probably suspect. the bigger question is how did Russia make it into the top ten?
August 17, 201411 yr The Russian economy is struggling , allied to the new visa regulations , I expect Russian visitors to decline in the short term.
August 17, 201411 yr A huge number of people are on the look out for cool places - relaxed happy places in which the regime is not too oppressive and overbearing. Thailand international image was very attractive - nice people, great food, easy going, easy to access and generally a fun place to be. But that's being fixed up. Full moon parties. Banned. Certain video games. Banned. Tourist visas restrictions. Velcome to ze land of krackdown. Let's see how its new image goes over with people.
August 17, 201411 yr The Russian economy is struggling , allied to the new visa regulations , I expect Russian visitors to decline in the short term. They are also very sensitive around what appears to be an increase in authoritarianism. Something they profoundly despise.
August 18, 201411 yr Is Russia on the list of top 10 goals for tourists?? I can´t beleive that! And Germany? They are counting everyone who is passing Germany when going to another country?
August 19, 201411 yr Yeah, I never saw 26 million tourats but all the locals is waiting for the cruise ships to pay double for everything except the room. They stay on the boat.
