Indonesia 7 day VOA fee

Featured Replies

Just found out that there is a 30 and also a 7 day Visa On Arrival for Indonesia. I am going there soon for 5 days and wonder if they will actually let me get the 7 day one for $15 or tell me 'not available' and make me get the 30 day one for $35. What have your experiences been when asking for a 7 day VOA? If they try to make me get the more expensive one and I try to get the 7 day one it could easily mean 30 minutes longer waiting in line to get through Immigration.

Thanks for sharing any actual experiences, yours or second hand.

Last time I tried in Medan, there for only a weekend to attend a wedding, I was told it was not available.

When I asked for a 7 day visa and handed over $15, I was told that the price was the same for the 7 and 30 day visas.

TI (That's Indonesia)

I only used the 7-day Visa once when entering via Batam by ferry from SG, and there was no problem getting that 7-day-Visa, but that's strange.

I would have asked to talk to the immigration-chief of the airport and then report it to the ministry of foreign affairs and the two English-language daily papers in JKT (not really doing that, but telling them that I will may already help). But then again, I speak enough Bahasa and those who don't probably should not bother....

I belive the 7 day VOA for USD 15.00 has been discontinued and now the only option is th 30 day for USD 35.00. Not sure when this changed.
