PHUKET: -- Kathu police yesterday (November 11) arrested a 36-year-old Patong man after he shot his neighbour in the head.

The victim, Narong Jareonpol, 33, was rushed to Patong hospital with a .22 bullet lodged in his head.

Police said he was in his rented room on Petgood Rd, Patong, when he was hit by the bullet fired from a nearby room at about 8:30am.

The shooter fled on a motorcycle but was caught about two hours later near Tritrang Beach. Police seized a CZ .22 rifle and magazine.

The arrested man, 36-year-old Bundit Pramonsil 36, was charged with attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm. He was locked up in Kathu police station.

Doesn't matter if the penalty for shooting somebody was death--the simple fact is these guys just let rage and anger and "payback" fill every bit of their brains and there just isn't any room left in there for reason or considering the consequences.

Just impulse.

There seems to be a lot more anger around the place in where I live in the North East of Thailand countryside.

I passed a motor cycle today on the highway who was driving in the middle of the first lane on the highway.

He glared at me as I passed and I was using the second lane.

It was a bit unnerving and I thought why would he be so angry or so challenging.

He was driving at 80 and I was doing the speed limit of 90.

In fact he was the the challenging one driving in the middle of the first lane instead of on the side of the road as most motorcycle riders do.

Amazing really as I never experienced that before.

Is that what the Generals happiness to Thais is doing to the people?

Funny this clown in handcuffs.

Is pointing to his rifle as he intends to blame the rifle for shooting his neighbour in the head.

I reckon a 500 Bht fine will serve him justice.

Hmm, when I was taught to ride a motorcycle I was told to be in the centre of the lane, anyhow, too dangerous to be on the left due to riders coming the wrong way and entering without looking. Other vehicles buzz me often!

For him to be staring at you, you need to have been staring at him!

As tourism drops and Quantitive Easing dollars dry up (along with the construction boom they financed), Thais personal incomes will be suffering. This is a stressful occurrence and made even more so because many thais, for the first time, have very large personal loans.

Just as happened in the US after 2008 crash, its quite possible that more incidents of rage will occur.

Nothing to do with being drunk and probably off his head then?

Why are the details so vague? Was he shot through the wall? How does someone in a nearby room shoot you in the head?

Are you just a poor reader or just looking for an argument?

This shooting was probably everything to do with what you say. I was only considering an earlier post.

I was only saying their will be more fuel to add to the fire, like the fuels of face and alcohol and yaba that already exist.
