theyoungone
Hello all Has anybody applied for a uk settlement visa in Bangkok recently? I am trying to gauge processing times. The official website says most applications are decided within 60 days. However when my fiancee applied she was told it would take 3-4 months by the staff at the visa office. Any thoughts or recent experience? Thank you Matt
7by7
The 60 days on the website is working days, which is about 12 weeks or 3 months, and the figures for decisions made in September show that they reached this target in 94% of cases. Applications are processed in the order they are received and processing times depend very much on demand, not just for settlement visas but for all the other types as well. Apply at a quiet time and the application will be processed in a matter of days, apply at a busy time and it will take longer. There is a long running topic on processing times for UK settlement visa applications in Bangkok which is regularly updated; click here.
