My school has got money to spend on Computer Aided teaching(ENGLISH) or Self Learning Software.

I have been asked to investigate what is out there. Would anyone have any recommendations on software that you may be using.

I highly recommend Rosetta Stone. I have been using their Chinese Mandarin set for almost a year and I love it. I has audio, visual images and some with video clips, text, pronunciation tests, testing for proficiency, and guided and unguided exercises. The results I have had are great. It does not rely on any translation at all and that's why I think it works so well because it forces you to learn. I am learning very fast. The Chinese has two levels, but I believe the English has quite a few more than two and comes in either American or British English. It's expensive, but you can't go wrong with it.
