Leaving a motorbike (scooter) parked without riding it for how long before problems arise?
I've just returned to Thailand after 5 months. I reconnected the battery and my PCX started first time. The tyres were virtually flat but other than that the bike has been fine. I had left the tank full, by the way. -

New visa exempt arrivals
The Thai govt WANTS us to come and spend money here - see the change to Visa-Exempt to 60 days and the DTV - because our spending creates Thai jobs. Immigration just want a "cut of the action," or they make up non-legal reasons to deny entry at known-bad entry points. -

Where To Buy Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey In Thailand
Actually bootlegged or watered down, even swapped out with something else. Whiskey is something I wouldn't order in a bar in TH, or the USA, as some do the same there. Crown and Jameson has too much of a distinct taste for a regular drinker not to notice. Haven't a clue of other whiskeys or spirits, and never got into them. Only in mixed drinks. When out and about with mates, quite often there is only so much beer I can stomach before I'm too full... I'll switch to neat Whisky - thats when I can tell. ... the go to is usually JW Black Label or Jamesons... After encountering so much bootlegged JW Black Label I started going for Jamesons, but found that too is bootlegged quite often... its just easy to tell as they both have a distinct taste.... I'm not out in the 'rubbishy bars too often anymore, so its less noticeable' and the good bars allow us to buy a bottle and keep it there... -

BREAKING NEWS Mass Shooting in Nong Bua Lamphu Leaves 3 Dead, Suspect at Large
My in-laws also live in Issan, not far from Nong Bua Lamphu, but we've never had the problems you describe, very quiet village, hard to believe it's the same province. -

Nong Bua Lamphu gunman surrenders amid hunger, exhaustion
Photo via ThaiRath By Petch Petpailin The Thai gunman who murdered three people in the Isaan province of Nong Bua Lamphu surrendered to the police today, claiming exhaustion and hunger. The 58 year old gunman, Samart, hid in the Na Klang district of Nong Bua Lamphu forest after he shot dead three victims in the Si Bun Rueng district yesterday, November 27. The three victims were Preecha Piamai, his daughter Wachinee Piamai, and Thavorn Waetthaisung. Samart murdered Preecha and his daughter over a legal dispute related to 10,000 baht provided by the government. Thavorn was not involved in the financial dispute but previously clashed with Samart after witnessing him buying stolen electronic devices from criminals. Samart initially contacted his wife and expressed his intention to murder another person named Lek before turning himself in. He revealed that he had a conflict with Lek but the details of the issue have not been reported. Locals in the area witnessed Samart searching for food and drink. He was seen near a cornfield and later spotted collecting water at a monastery near the forest. Police organised searches in small groups and brought in skilled officials to track down Samart. Eventually, Samart contacted his wife, saying he wanted to surrender because he was very exhausted and hungry. He promised to drop all his weapons and urged the police to bring him food and drink. Police agreed to the condition and asked him to leave the forest. Unfortunately, Samart was unable to walk out on his own due to a lack of energy and food. Officers arrested him from the forest at around 12.50pm. The official legal punishment for Samart has not yet been disclosed. Source: The Thaiger -- 2024-11-28 -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
Who will be handing over cash ? Strange comment. There are many who will comply with the rules and hand over nothing. No one is preaching anything, they are pointing out reality. https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/user_upload/FATCA_File/crs/Thailand_CRS_Guidance_280823.pdf Perhaps those that do not wish to face reality, or are in complete denial of reality, should refrain from posting.- 1
