I have had WP and extension of stay for 12 years, and recently i sold my company so nowadays I'm here on a 30-days visa exemptions.

Can i have a car registered on my name? Currently, I have 3 big bikes registered on me from my old WP time but Now I need to buy a car urgently.

If immigration is willing to hand you a certificate of residence and the DLT is willing to register, yes, you can. Or are you in a housebook?

The sales person in Pattaya who spoke not so good English, said it would work. But I'm not sure that she understood.

I know in Phuket it is possible, but I don't know how these Pattaya offices work. Also quite often the dealers have some cloud with these offices, so it would not surprise me at all.

Just get a certificate of residence from your embassy, then all will be fine.
