gennisis
None of the supermarkets sell it....Have tried a couple of markets ...nothing!. Every animal...even in Thailand....has one....so where do I go to buy Beef Kidneys? Steak and kidney Pie doesnt taste right with Pigs kidney and with this cooler weather a Kidney Casserole would go down well, so..where can I get some?? Konini
My first stop would be the Muslim women on the market who sell beef and buffalo - usually their English is quite good, but if you have a phone that holds photographs, download one. If they don't have it they are the most likely to be able to point you in the right direction. I think there may have been a thread here a few months ago, but I can't search at the moment.
masuk
I take another option. When Rimping has it in stock, I buy a tinned steak and kidney pie made in the UK. they are extremely tasty. Trouble is some greedy farangs clear the shelves as soon as they arrive!!!

Ulysses G.
IMO, Steak and Kidney Pie is a lot better when you leave the kidney out.
harrry
IMO, Steak and Kidney Pie is a lot better when you leave the kidney out. Lambs kidneys are best but at a pinch you can use the pork ones which are fairly available. just soak them in milk for an hour or so. Make sure they do not smell when you buy them and you cannot go wrong.

That is why you soak them in milk. The smelling bit was that if they smell at all off do not buy them. Edited January 17, 2015 by harrry
northernjohn
Where did the Pizza and Hamburger threads go? This could in the future be looked back at as a turning point in Thai Visa's history.
