Nice one, thanks.

Unfortunately the signup isn't working, maybe getting swamped.

I had a problem at first. On using an alternate email it went through O.K.

One strange thing though. The size of the Pro has come in at 104MB against 180MB for my current free version (same version number.)

I tried three different ones, no joy.

Those who can not get the key request to work you may need to use a VPN as I noticed in the status bar it was doing a geoauth. My direct attempt failed but using a US VPN worked fine. Got the key in under 30 seconds after submitting.

Downloaded and installed just now. It was an option under HELP menu in my regular Google Earth.

In the "new" Pro version, under help, there is the option to BUY the Enhanced version.

OK, I bit! Been playing with it a few times since yesterday afternoon and can't see where it's much different to what I'm use too? Definitely would not pay for it at this stage. I guess I'd better read the instructions to see what I'm missing other than designing and building a monument to my opulence after winning lotto.

As I said in post 4 above, my alternate email worked OK. The difference being xxxx.chaiyo.com changed to xxxx.msn.com. I still used a Thai business/location/phone#. Will look at it later today to try and sus out it's smaller package size/comparison.

gets past the above by using a non amd64 distro > slacko570. seems to install with success message displayed but fails on trying to launch. files are where they should be. see image: its there click it to see it.

moving on giving up.

Pro has been popular on the torrent circuit in the past as the 400USD was high for some. The Pro advantages are listed https://support.google.com/earth/answer/189188?hl=en and for me it has been the extended use of layers and different file types that can be imported that I found useful.
