up2you2
In trying to increase the size of my desk top icons, the following has happened - attached screen shot. I would be most grateful if someone could come up with a remedy please.
worgeordie
All my icons on the desktop vanished ,except 2, the other day and tried several things but could not get them back, so did a system restore to an earlier time and everything was back to normal. regards worgeordie
Sandman77
I think only a reinstall helps! Run a virus scan first
VBF
Try resizing the icons thus: Close or minimise all windows Focus on desktop - left click once Hold Ctrl key down whilst turning mouse wheel SLOWLY so they get bigger. The icons will resize and it may cause them to re-draw, depending on your video card Then you can turn them back to the desired size if that doesn't work, try changing the screen resolution - for example from 1920 x 1080 to 1280 x 1024. This WILL force a re-draw and reposition everything. Then you should be able to reset it to your preferred value. up2you2
Resolved. It was a Microsoft site I went to repair icons - it worked. Only found this this morning, when I went to boot up.

Tried your Hold Ctrl key down whilst turning mouse wheel SLOWLY so they get bigger. It worked, re-booted and it still works. Thank you.
