February 8, 201511 yr "You must be under 60 to qualify for government employees health insurance" That's true for Social Security, which is not the same as the government employees insurance. If you enter the SS system before 60, you can remain in it after turning 60. The government employees insurance covers the employee, their spouse, their kids and their parents. Some parents are over 60 when they first enter the system.
