Hello,

Whats the best way to convert a pdf file(its a stat-dec template) to appleworks so I can fill it in then print it out?Any help would be much appreciated, cheers :o

You can't.

If you have a full version of Adobe Acrobat (not Acrobat Reader, which is used for reading stuff off the web) you can use the advanced editing tools to copy the text, then paste it into Apple Works or other word processor.

You will lose all fonts, formatting, and field data - the ability to fill in fields on the original pdf will be lost.

I just love accuracy. To the point and solid.

Get a proper PC. :o

hi,

long time ago, maybe 3 years ago, it was a set a nice tools to translate PDT to EPS, and EPS to PDF.

Mostly the EPS files are easy to open (Illustrator for exemple .. lol ... also Claris Works can open it).

If my memory is good enought, the sofware was from scandinavia, like Graphic Converter the best tool for Mac if you need manipulate the pictures easily.

I think you must check :

1) open the pdf in Preview

2) click at the top of the text and drag down

3) Copy (command-C)

4) open AppleWorks and Paste (Command-V)

You will loose the formatting like in a PC (see above), but it's free for Mac users
