Hello!

I am new to all of this and just started researching. I just got offered a job with a non-profit in Bangkok, however my boyfriend doesn't have a job lined up there but wants to move with me. What are our options regarding a visa for him?

My job commitment is 1-2 years so he would need to be able to live there with me...without having a job lined up. Also--he doesn't have a Bachelors degree so it would be hard for him to find a job teaching English. Does he have any options?

Any and all help/suggestions appreciated as we would have to leave In two weeks!!

He can still get a job teahcing, but only at a language school and not at a regular school. But teaching is soemthing you must like and have the right skills for.

His best option for now is to apply for a double entry tourist visa, which will give him a stay of 60 days which cna be extended by 30 days and then he has to elave the country and can come back for another 60 days to be extended by 30 days. After that he can get a new tourist visa in a neighbouring country.

Keeping mind that while he's here on a tourist visa he might do a little job-hunting, but he should not start working (despite what a prospective employer may say) while on a tourist visa.

Yes, there seems to be an attitude amongst some people that anyone who speaks English and has no other marketable qualifications can just teach. That's a potential recipe for disaster for both the "teacher" and his students.
