Students surrender to police for dumping 'spooky' resin babies

BANGKOK: -- Two fourth-year cinematography students at Mahidol University yesterday surrendered to police after allegedly dumping a garbage bag containing five replica infants made of resin, fake blood and pig guts in front of a salon in Bangkok's Bang Bon district on Monday.

The items were discovered at 2am yesterday by scavengers who alerted police about someone discarding "unborn babies from abortion". Police and forensic medicine personnel later said the "babies" were made of resin.

The students told police that they had used the said items as props for a short film assignment and then packed all the items in a garbage bag for disposal. The students insisted they had no intention to cause public alarm and apologised for not realising that their action would cause public panic.

In response, police softened their stance from previously seeking to file a charge of causing public disturbance and related offences, to only issuing a warning.

Fly tipping is elevated to a national crime. Solid gold. If it was actual toxic waste no one would have looked twice.

Were the pig guts cooked at least?

brains were in 'idle mode' after using the props...clap2.gif
