I remember that Songkhran is celebrated at different dates at 2 different locations in Kanchanaburi - The first being where the farang tourist stay and then the main town.

Or do I remember incorrectly?

Also any member can recommend where to rent a motorbike (simple scooter) in Kanchanaburi?

Also any member can recommend any quite places within say 50km of Kanchanaburi, guesthouse to get away from it all

Do your self a favor stay off motor bikes in Songkhran.

Kan BIG DAY is on the 17th April, jam packed by the way. 13th to 16th is busy on the Menam Khwae (Kwai) road.

Please do not drive a motor bike on these days.

Keep dry, safe and stay off these bikes, please.
