Thailand Post Tracking - What Does "Re Delivery" Mean?

Featured Replies

Hello group!

I have a simple question I'm hopeful some veteran will be able to help me with.

I shipped a package from Bangkok to a friend in care of the Pattaya hotel he's staying in. My friend is a registered guest, and I clearly addressed his name in "care of" the hotel. I shipped the package via Thailand Post Registered Mail where signature is required to effectuate delivery.

When I check Thailand Post tracking, I see the package was out for delivery. The last entry next to "Delivery Status" states "Re Delivery." I've attached a screen shot of the actual current Thailand Post tracking results.

What does this "Re Delivery" mean? Will Thailand Post attempt to "redeliver" the package to my friend at the hotel?

When I formally shipped the package, I advised my friend to email and telephone the hotel to put them on actual notice that he was expecting a package there.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can tell me what I should tell my friend. He's experiencing some angst now.
