fvw53
An Elite Card holder wants to buy my condo. Since many years he transferred a lot of money from abroad which he keeps in Thai bank accounts Does he need - to buy my condo - to transfer money again from abroad or can he as Elite Card holder ask the bank a certificate with the origin of his money? dotpoom
If he already has the money in the bank just have the amount required changed into dollars (or any other and currency I suppose) and back again into Baht again, that will do. The bank can do it for him. Edited March 26, 2015 by dotpoom
Guest
Here is a link to one of dozens of excellent articles on this subject.http://www.thailandlawonline.com/article-older-archive/condo-purchase-currency-fet-form-remittanceLong story short ... the Foreign Exchange Transaction (FET) must have a clear trail to the purchase of the condo.Bankers deal with this every day ... it should not be a problem if the funds came into Thailand in a correct path. His Elite Card means nothing in tis case.
