Ok, I did a 20 minute scan of the posts before I posted this, so PLEASE don't curse at me if this has been discussed extensively:

http://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/new-visa-rules.php

"A dose of good news awaits tourists—following the new regulation set by Thai Immigration, visitors can now come regularly to Thailand without limiting their stay within a total of 90 days in a six-month period.

The restriction has already been abolished so tourists can now visit Thailand as often as they want, provided that they obtain 30 day Visa on Arrival at airports and 15 day Visa on Arrival if they are traveling via land borders."

Is this a joke? Or are we back to the good ole days of limitless 30 day entry stamps?

Did you happen to notice that is a commercial website.

That bit of info is about 6 and a half years old. They did away with the 90 days in 6 months rule in 2008.

Also you do not get a a 30 visa on arrival it is a 30 visa exempt entry. A visa on arrival is only for 15 days and costs 1000 baht for those from certain countries.

Kind of a joke.

1) The article does not have an inidividual date, When has it been written? See 3).

2) It uses the wrong and ineradicable wording "visa on arrival" while visa exempt entry is meant

3) the shortening from 30 days to 15 days at land borders has taken place "long ago". Is it a year?

4) The article shows a US passport not mentioning that this shortening has been lifted for USA and six other countries.

30 day visa exempt entry at land borders for citizens of G7 countries.

Also "long ago".

...

The article is outdated crap using wrong terms, Just confusing.

Typical example of what happens if information in the internet is not time stamped nor updated or revoked.

The elimination of the 90 days in 180 days rule and the 15 days at a border crossing was done at the same time in September of 2008.

The 30 days for G7 countries stared in November of 2013.
