Carrying Baked goods through customs Baggage check

Featured Replies

I always get drinks taken that I have just bought and not opened. I want to take some baked goods, maybe starbucks muffins, a cake, salad, is that stuff permitted? Traveling suwannaphum Bkk--Canada

Thanks!

Not a problem.

Customs takes your unopened drinks? Doubtful.

Security checkpoint confiscates your liquids that are not sealed in a duty free bag? Probable.

Baked goods should be no problem at either of those two checks.

No liquid containers with more than 100ml in the carry on (!?) baggage.

That should be clear since years.

Baked goods?

Taking out at Suvarnabhumi no problem.

Canada? No idea.

But some countries are hysterical about any food items brought in.

So what do you think they'll do, pump his stomach?

Rereading, I think it is quite irrelevant to where one flies if you want to have some supplies to consume on board.

But really: if you don't use it up, leave it at the seat.

Must be a low cost carrier biggrin.png

IIRC the Canadian Immigration/Customs form does ask about food-items in your luggage, but perhaps the OP merely wishes to consume his baked-comestibles, before departure or en-route ?

I entered Canada with several fresh green-mangoes, a few months ago, and declared them, no problem.

I wanted to take straight through to Canada. 1 item is a cake from the Oriental Coffee shop, a bit expensive, don't want it to be taken away...

Thanks!
