IMA_FARANG
There is a new tropical storm that has developed on the East coast that just is entering the Carolinas area. It is a minimal tropical storm, but it is till going to bring wind and rains to the Carolinas now, and maybe more later as it moves northwest up the U.S. east coast. It's name is Ana and although it is early for the hurricane season, which doesn't officially start until June, It's moving into the Carolinas now and this weekend. You can get info on the track and warnings about this storm at the URL www.nhc.gov on the National Hurricane Service at that URL Here is a cut and paste from the national Hurricane Service warning advisory 000WTNT31 KNHC 091159TCPAT1BULLETINTROPICAL STORM ANA INTERMEDIATE ADVISORY NUMBER 6ANWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL AL012015800 AM EDT SAT MAY 09 2015...ANA MOVING A LITTLE FASTER TOWARD THE COAST...SUMMARY OF 800 AM EDT...1200 UTC...INFORMATION----------------------------------------------LOCATION...32.6N 77.8WABOUT 115 MI...185 KM S OF WILMINGTON NORTH CAROLINAABOUT 100 MI...165 KM SE OF MYRTLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINAMAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...60 MPH...95 KM/HPRESENT MOVEMENT...NNW OR 330 DEGREES AT 5 MPH...7 KM/HMINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1001 MB...29.56 INCHES Edited May 9, 2015 by IMA_FARANG Link to comment
