This is Thailand.

You don't get involved in other people's domestic disputes unless its truly life-threatening or you're asked for help.

I recently indicated to a guy , when he finally came out of his drug induced fit of violence against a girl for a few seconds (little boy sat on a motor bike watching) that I had filmed him. I hadn't. However he decided to set on me and running after me enabled the girl to CRAWL away from the scene, abandoning the kid. Maybe she didn't like having the shit kicked and punched out of her although she did get a few good ones in. I had a wife and kid in the car so wasn't going to get involved in that. In the future there will be a machete under my seat as a deterrent. Certainly not a gun.

This kind of stuff erupts so suddenly that most people don't know how to react. Nor do I really but I do react.

As I see it, the fight was not one-sided.

She apparently started the fight (when the bus passed), apparently didn't shout out for help and at the end stole his phone.

One can only speculate at what this was about and about who was in the wrong.

I don't resort to violence, but I can understand that some people can lose their temper in some situations, especially when violence is the only retribution that can touch the other side.

Nana BTS, Sukhumvit 7, late at night, you might be right but even if so, it never justifies what hes doing. If she had stolen something from him or been with another guy then that is simply a part of what he can expect from a lady of the night. She hustles for a living. Walk on by, or tell the cops if shes stolen something expensive.

I think it all looks much worse than it really is. There are taxi bikes around watching the whole thing closely, if there was a reason to intervene, they would have been more than happy to do so.
