I'm right now looking in the M8 amlogic also. They are 2100 Baht on ebay with 2gb ram and 8gb Nand flash, with dual wifi as well.

But I think that the cx-s806 with the S812 Amlogic is a better option, since it also has HDMI 2.0, and which trades at ~2600 Baht on Ebay, but about 500 Baht less on Aliexpress

Available from Lazada at 3315 Baht: (IMPORTED) M8 Amlogic S802 Quad Core Android 4.4 Smart TV Box WIFI 4K UHD 2GB + 8GB Miracast

However, you will need to load KODI yourself. Relatively easy to do and there are tutuorials on YouTube on how to do it.

I'd rather have it fully loaded, following and instructions to install software is not my

strongest suit....

As I just posted in another thread, get a community build from totalxbmc.tv

They do all the hard work for you.

Takes about 10 minutes + the time it takes to download the build.

Incredibly easy.

* You need to register and wait for mod approval first.

Is the box needed ?

Myself have Kodi, but installed on a very old Laptop [screen gone year ago] connected to main big TV

also have it installed on my PC, I use a 32" monitor..

Both installs are download from Kodi for Windows, + have installed many other things, works very well....... guess one day will get a M8 or another make..

looks like you can download on most things. even maybe on a old smart phone?

Just re-installed it on my PC as was running the old XBMC.. http://kodi.tv/download/ http://www.tvaddons.ag/

all is easy and there is 100's of sites and advice on the net..

As posted in another thread, you can install it on the Amazon TV Fire Stick.
